Slaps a goofy smile on your face.. While the film is sporadically funny, it was done much better on the small screen, decades ago.. Ferrell has an absolutely magical way of making complete morons lovable.. The celluloid equivalent of a throwaway summer pop anthem, the sort of catchy-yet-agitating tune that has you humming in spite of yourself.. A lot of the time it's very funny.. On a rainy day, A Good Year may be welcome fantasy; the question is whether anyone will remember it after the clouds ...
