It looks like a big-budget version of a Miller's Genuine Draft commercial.. The vapid story -- and its intended humor -- meanders and loses its way in predictable sit-com style.. Thank goodness for Leslie Mann.. Cassavetes seemingly tries to sap any energy that Mann and Diaz give the film. Any time music kicks in, terrible filmmaking results, usually in montage form.. This is more "feminish" than feminist, but arguably a tottering stiletto-heeled step forward.. Works better than most movie comed...
