Without a doubt, it is one of 2014's best animated films; a holiday delight that exuberantly bursts at the seams with irresistible cultural pride.. Inherent Vice lives happily on the outer limits, where the noir form and its history are at least as important as the content.. What's missing from Blended? Two key ingredients: it doesn't touch the heart and it doesn't tickle the funny bone (at least not often enough).. The picture is all over the map. Nothing coheres.. Although it's not as hermetic...
